The best primer is going to be one that works for your skin! Made it too simple? But, it’s true! Usually it will be a game of trial and error before you land on that one primer that works heavenly for your skin and your makeup. Find a primer that is prepared to do the heavy lifting for you – i.e. keeps your makeup looking fresh all day long and don’t settle for any less!
Your best bet is generally to find a primer of the same brand as your mineral makeup. Generally brands will design their products to work their best when in union with each other. Think of it this way. When a brand is testing how well their newly designed primer works, they are generally going to layer it underneath their own foundation to test its longevity and effectiveness. Hence, it makes sense to pair your mineral makeup and primer together. I understand this is not always possible and sometimes you’re stuck trying to finish off a primer from an existing brand while switching to a new brand for foundation. Just do the best you can.
You may also find the while the foundation works great for your skin type, the primer doesn’t quite make the cut. Or the way around. This is in fact how it is for my skin because I have an oily t-zone!
Before we leave this topic, I do want to mention one thing.
